The Slump
Intro
Recently I’ve had my sleep scheduled flipped and it has also flipped how I feel about things. Lack of motivation and what not. Oversleeping really does seem to just destroy my motivation to do anything. However, I am hoping to end this slump today, if I make another post tomorrow will be the indicator if I did win or not.
“Doing the thing”
I came across a tweet a few months back about “doing the thing”. Thinking about how to do the thing is not doing the thing, feeling bad about not doing it is still not doing it. Just do the thing. What caught my attention most was something about planning it or putting it on the to do list is not doing it. The previous statement while true to me isn’t exactly right, in my mind I can get so much done with nothing on my todo list but I can get so much more done with an agenda planned by the hour about what needs to be done. What isn’t done by end of day just gets rescheduled to the next.
