What happened

I think it all started when I was playing Marvel Rivals with THE BOYS one night. That night I ended up staying up past 6am gaming, but it doesn’t end there. I struggle to fall asleep as is and after the awesome gaming session I went to bed. Could not sleep and that spiralled into a complete 180 degree turn.

Opposite Schedule

Normally I’d wake up at 6am but now I was waking at 5…pm which honestly now that I look back at it makes zero difference. Same 24 hours and all if you REALLY think about it. But that wasn’t the state of mind I was in. Every time I mess up my sleep schedule I would instantly start feeling worse. Straight up productivity goes down, healthy habits turn to unhealthy ones etc. I will not yap too much about my dark days because I generally don’t feel like it matters that much. It’s my own thing and negative vibes aren’t always what I’m trying to spread here.

My Chungus Conclusion

The brainrot gets to me a lot, perhaps a topic for another post. Anyway I’ve realised that as long as it wasn’t really getting in my way in a real way it doesn’t really matter when I wake up or sleep. It matters that when I DO wake up is that I DO stuff. The stuff I wanted to do can get done at any time for the most part. It’s all about the state of mind.

How it was fixed

Literally yesterday I went to work out with the boys at a reasonable time. Ended up being home at 2am (YES that is relatively REASONABLE OKAY). The workout went pretty well, hit a few PRs heh no biggie. The point is I was TIRED, which means I felt exhausted. I got in bed hoping I could fall asleep. Low and behold I actually DID FALL ASLEEP at like 3am. Which compared to falling asleep at 8am. Absolute win in my book, managed to wake up at 6am my normal time. Will report back tomorrow if I manage to mess up my schedule or if it’s fully fixed.

That’s really about it. Cya
